Esta foi uma das primeiras peças que eu fiz em miniatura. Trata-se de uma reprodução de uma das unidades de arrumação desenhadas por Charles e Ray Eames.
Tentei fazer uma reprodução o mais fiel possível ao original.
Duas das portas (uma em cima e outra em baixo) deslizam e as três gavetas abrem e fecham.
Na sua construção foi utilizada madeira balsa e metal.
É uma reprodução à escala 1/12 de dimensões 10 x 13 x 3,5 cm.

This is one of the first miniatures I've made. It is a reproduction of one of Ray and Charles Eames' storage units.
I tried to make it as close to reality as possible.
Two out of the four doors do slide and all the three drawers open.
To built it I used balsa wood and brass metal.
It's a 1/12 scale reproduction with 10 x 13 x 3,5 cm.
Soon it will be available for you to buy if you want it :)

ResponderEliminarIt looks fabulous! Have you considered using a harder wood than balsa? I find basswood or jelutong easy to work with and, more inportant, available from most mini shops.
